Cairns Emmanuel Uniting Church

Minutes of the Congregational Meeting of Cairns Emmanuel Uniting Church held in the Cairns Emmanuel Ministry Centre on 26^th  June 2011.  

The motion - “In the light of our calling to confess Christ as Lord of the Church, the Cairns Emmanuel Congregation rejects the Synod Standing Committee’s decision to terminate the Rev. Dr. Hedley Fihaki as Minister of the Cairns Emmanuel Congregation, without lawful consultation and due process, and without providing a full understanding of the reasons for taking such a serious and unprecedented action,” was moved by Kate Hall, seconded by George Martin, and passed unanimously by all members of the congregation present.
