Key Questions that must be asked!

Posted July 30, 2011

The "Key Questions that must be asked!" section is an important section, highlighting what we believe is at the heart of the matter.  The document "The Status, role and Authority of the Basis of Union with the UCA" is a good document to read - available on the "Basis of Union" section. You can download it directly by clicking here.

My concern is simply this. Jesus is our Master, and in his 'polity', the thirsty are given water. They are not turned out, for seeking water in a place where the pump may be said to have not been adequately and legally certified in every one of its outlets, as perfectly safe for human consumption. The powerful (perhaps our church leaders) serve the thirsty with their own hands. From their own resources and wealth. They do not punish those who seek to serve and protect.

Does the congregation of the UCA wish to follow this unfortunate, un-Christ like lead? I sincerely hope that it does not. Without that the church obey Christ and follow His commands, it ceases to be the body of Christ, the church, instead becoming just another human institution in which workplace bullying as a result of a desire to manipulate assets or other values, is the norm.

Thanks for your comments Ruth.
Blessings
